12 YEARS LATER, IT'S A SURPRISE!

Happy Weekend My Amazing Tory Lovers!

Greetings from this side of the globe! I hope all is well with you, and our year, 2021, is gradually making small sense.

Okay, this particular post is special. Where do I start? Hmm. Maybe I should just go back a few months ago.

I've always told y'all how interesting marriage is, I recall I have previously said it's not a bed of roses.

Marriage involves two people from entirely different backgrounds coming together to form a bond irrespective of their different orientations and upbringing.

My Customary Wedding.

We do that in the name of love, right? Yeah. So recently, hubby and I have been going through very trying times, one of those things married people don't tell you about. Lolz. You remember I asked y'all to pray for us at the beginning of this year.

I began to even question myself if I was sure that I have not mistakenly walked into another person's marriage.

So we, hubby and I, got talking about what exactly was going on. You know I've always been a communication advocate.

Anyway, long story short, our 12th Wedding Anniversary was on the 13th of January, precisely 2 days ago, and sincerely, I assumed this was just one of those days that will come and go.

I didn't make any plan, as a matter of fact, I cooked a pot of beans at home that day! It should have been party Jollof and chicken right?

Well, that's to show you how unexcited I felt. Lolz. Don't mind me, you know I can be very dramatic.

Fast forward to lunchtime at work. My immediate boss came to inform me that I had a visitor. To be honest, she gave me the impression that it was a client who wanted to see me.

I seriously and professionally walked to the reception and met the biggest surprise of the year.

Hubby dearest standing with a lovely cake and a bottle of wine!

Hubby dearest and yours truly.

My colleagues were already on stand by taking pictures and videos of us. It was one of the most romantic things this Anambra man has ever done for me!

I felt so pthywkdghsjkly! I can't remember when last I felt that way.

How he managed to conspire with my colleagues to do that, I really don't know but it was a very lovely and romantic gesture that I would never forget in a hurry.

I'm still basking in the ambience as I type this post. So after 12 years of marriage, we still find our spark.

Now I have an additional reason to love this man who stole my heart all these years.

Since that day, I've really been thinking of what I can do to surprise him too. This has helped me have a deeper understanding of love.

Love is selfless and the truth is, it should never be one-sided. Love should be mutual and yes, everybody can find love.

Before I turn into a preacher of love let me wrap up this post by sending a special shout-out to my Tribe at Sabi Writers, they're the best colleagues I've ever had.

With a few of my colleagues

Happiest 12th Wedding Anniversary celebration to me and mine. I look forward to better years of love, bliss, fulfillment, and of course, plenty money.

Just so y'all know, this is the tip of the iceberg into our marriage tale, more gist coming soon.

You won't believe what his right hand was doing behind the camera!
