It's the little things...
The kind gestures;
The unexpected wink;
The surprise kisses blown;
The gentle pat on the shoulder;
The cuddle and snuggle on a very cold night;
The sudden text message in the middle of the day;
The unplanned tickle;
The act of eating your food and leaving your meat for me;
The whisper of "You're beautiful!" in the middle of nothing;
The unknowing look and double raising of your brows;
The out-of-the-blues smile;
The casual strolls down the street, where you wrap me with your hands and hold me close so everyone knows that we belong together;
The "Baby go and lie down, I'll clean up after you";
The returning home from a stressful day and dropping a well prepared shawarma on my lap;
The "Babe, what will you eat for supper?";
The "You can go for the meeting, I'll watch the kids";
The "Are you dressed? Let me drop you off";
The unrehearsed random words of affection;
These little things are part of what make living with you enjoyable.
Thank you for these ...
Happy Father's Day to Presh and Sammy's Dad.
So I sent this to my Anambra man and here is the reply I received...
Thank you for your love. Thank you for your unreserved respect. Thank you for the unconditional kindness. Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for being the S in support.
Thanks for making miracles every morning, thanks for the sumptuous dishes.
Thanks for loving our children like they're all that matters.
Thanks for the new feeling every single time we unite and simmer in the heat of lovemaking.
Thanks for fueling your passions, for chasing your dreams and bringing us along.
Thank you for loving me, thank you for letting me.
Okay, I'm shy, didn't know this man could open up like this.
Do not in any way, think that these 12 years of marriage have been rosy for us, far from it. We have had our ups and downs (plenty downs o), but today, I choose to celebrate the ups and I hope that you find a reason to do same.
Massive shout out to all the Fathers everywhere who do not joke with their responsibility.
To all the brothers, uncles, and male cousins and relations who serve in he fatherhood position irrespective of the challenges, we see you and we appreciate you!
Tory Teller loves you and is rooting for you always!
