Pencil, Paper, ACTION!

Passion is a strong feeling, eg of hate, love or anger. The definition of passion relating to what I want to talk about today is; a thing for which somebody has great enthusiasm.

Some things I'm passionate about are more of art; music, drawing, writing and talking- don't be surprised to see talking there, I'm a human parrot! (What do you expect when my dad and mum are both Journalists/Communication Experts)

Well, this post's focus is drawing. Between the four things that I mentioned, the ones I indulge in more during my pastime are writing and drawing. I would tell you all about how I began writing some other time, but today, let's talk about my passion for drawing.

Firstly, to draw means to make pictures or a picture of something with a pen, pencil or chalk, but not with paint. I like drawing because it gives me peace of mind. I feel very happy when I draw and for some reason, I start imagining myself as a famous artist who has a million and two people at her beck-and-call. It's quite amusing.

Drawing has helped me in so many ways. It helps me relax whenever I'm tensed. Even when I'm agitated or in a bad mood, I draw and it eases the stress.

A fun fact about my drawing is that when I'm in a feud with a colleague, I draw caricatures of them to make me laugh. Whenever I look at the pictures, I can't help but laugh at them.

Here are some facts I bet you didn't know about drawing:
1). Drawing was used as a specialised form of communication before the invention of the written language about 30,000 years ago.
2). Drawing helps improve your memory.
3). Drawing helps reduce stress.
4). Drawing helps increase emotional intelligence (so that you pour your anger into your book and not on someone's head).

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. I'd like to know if anyone here can draw as well, I might actually take tutorials from you soon.

PS: I'm still taking tutorials from Google so I can draw in a more realistic manner.
